Snow Day.... Well, Sort of

We had a fun day as a family. It began snowing this morning about 7:30. It snowed on and off until mid-afternoon, but only a little stuck to the ground. It sure was cold and windy outside, but I think that the ground was too warm for the snow to really stick. Well, about 11:00 we finally went outside to play in the snow. It was good for making snowballs, I just wish that there was a little more so that we could have made a snowman. Anyway, after playing for a while we went back inside and had some hot chocolate, which Brooks LOVED! The hot chocolate reminded Brooks of one of his movies, The Polar Express. So after lunch we all sat down and watched it together. Then Brooks took a 3 hour nap and Jeff and I slept over 2 hours... I don't know when I have ever taken such a long nap...it was soooooo nice! Tonight I made homemade chili and we played some more. We had such a great LAZY "snow" day together!

Having fun in the snow!

Snowball fight with daddy!

Brooks kept throwing the snowballs into the pond.

Brooks' first taste of homemade hot chocolate. (Yes, I put it in a Starbucks cup, hoping it wouldn't be as messy.)

Brooks enjoying The Polar Express.

This is Brooks' favorite part of The Polar Express. The dancing men bringing out the hot chocolate.
