17 months old

I can't believe that another month has passed and that Brooks is 17 months old! Jeff and I are having so much fun with him this summer. Some new words that he has said lately are: eat (he has done the sign for this for months, but tonight he said eat), moo, ELMO,down, please, thank you, ower (mower), and tonight I said something about him being hyper and he said HYPER! He still talks a lot which is so funny to listen to. We understand him most of the time, but there are many times that it sounds like he is speaking Japanese. Brooks is really into Elmo now and wants to watch his Elmo movie at least once a day. We are still spending a few hours a day out in the 90 degree heat because he stands at the door and says "owside." We can tell that he is enjoying playing with friends more. He gets really excited when he sees Lydia or Aden (those are his best buds). Jeff and I had to give him another haircut the other day. It is growing pretty fast, especially in the back. Everyone comments on him being a "cottontop." We guess he got that from the milkman! (Ha ha)
