Jeff's quote, "I'm convinced you can't love him too much!"
I took Brooks for his 15 month well-visit today. He has had so much blood taken (4 times) in the last 6 weeks that as soon as we went back into the exam room he started crying. He knew the not so fun stuff was coming up! He threw a few good fits for the nurses and then wanted down so he could go through all the cabinets in the exam room. The nurse laughed and said she could tell that he was not a very active child (ha ha)! My mom always says that Brooks is the most ACTIVE child that she has ever seen. I brought up ADHD again to the doctor, Jeff thinks that I am retarded for worrying about this, but I work with so many ADHD kids at school that I want to try and catch it early and begin interventions. Dr. Bean assured me again that Brooks is "high energy, " but not "hyper." He said that there is a big difference! I have also heard that the non-stop energy, into everything, never sit still characteristics are also a BOY THING.
Anyway, Brooks checked out great. He now weighs 23.10 (Hold on to your hats folks, he is now in the 50% in weight - he has never been out of the 30% before!) His length has leveled off at almost 32 inches (55%). Dr. Bean checked him over good and then came the shots (and lots of tears!) Brooks has all 16 teeth (the last bottom one just popped through). He is picking up so many words. Just recently he has started saying : stickers, Lydia, Papaw, but his favorite are ICE, OUTSIDE, and WATER! I here these three constantly (along with the sweet sound of Momma). Today we were leaving our neighbors house and Brooks said, "Bye, Aden." I keep telling everyone he is going to be a talker like his Daddy and Grandma Rue (no offense)! I can't believe how fast the last 15 months have gone by. Brooks is such a blessing. It's hard to remember what we did without him - nothing fun that's for sure!
