This past Friday was my birthday and we went to Lebanon for several days to celebrate. We hadn't been there in about 6 weeks so we were excited to see everyone. Brooks was still on his antibiotic, but was actually feeling great. (He has been sick or gotton sick the last 3 visits). He loves Grammie and Papa's stairs and one of us usually camps out on them around the clock. Brooks is saying several words now. His most recent are, "stop," "Papa," and "thank you." I told my parents today that I love the age he is at right now. He is so much fun to be around and play with.
(This year I didn't want a regular cake. I requested my grandmother's famous apple dumplins. She is 88 years old and still the best cook ever. I guess living on a farm most of your life gives you good practice. Thank you again Memomma for the dumplins, they were delicious!)
You know you are old when it takes 5 people to help you blow out your candles!!!

After the "party" we had to get outside for a little fun. Papa got out his mower and took Brooks for a spin.

Brooks got a gift too. Ian gave Brooks his old slide to take home and play with. We are sooooo thankful for Ian's hand-me-down toys and clothes!
